AMOR begins developing and translating COVID fact sheets to share with community members

Supply distribution at DARE

13th: First of many daily calls with AMOR staff and volunteers after Rhode Island announces a state of emergency

18th: First virtual volunteer training to set up DARE as a supply distribution hub

19th: AMOR opens intakes to start receiving requests from community members for food, supplies, and cash assistance

31st: AMOR begins financial relief deliveries

10th: AMOR launches its Stimulus Redistribution campaign

The supply distribution project based in DARE starts to phase out deliveries and prepares to relocate supplies to the new location

Workshare participants distribute 46 supply and financial relief packages

Arely and Isabely develop the workshare program, and they train participants to sanitize, take inventory, package, and deliver supplies

3rd: AMOR’s Mutual Aid March through Central Falls, where marchers distribute the 100 supply packages and winter clothes donations that workshare participants had prepared

26th: Workshare participants organize a Thanksgiving food drive to get holiday food and supply packages to 46 families

Until the end of the year, workshare participants focus on organizing rental relief support. They called over 100 people, helped 39 families submit applications to the Safe Harbor Housing Program, and supported 5 families with direct cash assistance.
